Das klingt verdächtig

A live-music thriller
for children from 8 years and adults

Riff and As, two sadly underpaid musicians, have hired the mysterious Mimi to kidnap standard pitch "A". Right after the Soundnapping the "green" gangstertrio meets in a hideout, to make preparations for the handover of the expected ransom. But – there's no reaction to their demands. Doupt and mistrust creep in: What is the standard pitch actually worth? And who should pay for it? Has Mimi made a mistake? Who's side is she on?! Waiting for the crucial telephonecall is turning into a nervewrecking trial!
Whether the trio goes through meticulous memory logs, spiritualistic seances, hot tempered fights, melancholy reveries or joyful ecstasy – somehow music always seems to have a finger in the pie.

“ 'Das klingt verdächtig' is a poetical crimestory about the love for music and music posessing the power to turn enemies into lovers. The narrative means is sound, the answer to the sound is language. The bizarre and comical story about the kidnapped standard pitch ’A’ is a plea for diversity of communication, for pure joy of playing and a world full of intersting and exciting sounds.“
Hamburger Kindertheaterpreis, Comment of the Jury, June 2007
