| press Wish I was real "Wish I was real" shows five individuals endeavouring for a "genuine" and sincere feeling of being alive. In their yearning to get a grip on reality and to experience immediate effect they attempt to halt the evaporation of reality and identity. In the diverse strategies to leave traces, to feel rooted, to track down one's own presence and to provoke reaction, the different aspects of the desire for authenticity are revealed. From the examination of space, time and the "opponent", moments of absurdity and tragicomical situations emerge. | Press "It is rather amazing how the bodies are moving cutting the space and stepping up to invisible resistances that suddenly become audible: peculiar sounds, apparently caused by the friction of flesh and clothing against the air. The intensive amplification of [sound-]music and dance is characteristic for the works of the choreographer and composer Jan Pusch. "Wish I was real" is a formally brilliant and excellently danced choreography" die tageszeitung "An ascetic, thrilling work about the loss of cooperation in times of increasing technological communication, that was received with a lot of applause." Hamburger Morgenpost "With his new production "Wish I was Real" the Hamburg choreographer Jan Pusch proves more than ever to be an exquisite movement researcher. Concentrated as well as playfully Pusch sends his protagonists on an expedition through their own physique and sensuality." Die Welt |
